Saturday's Spoils

Ethan went to testing - did his forms; broke his boards - looks good! I believe a new belt is in his future.... Way to go bud!!

So while Ethan and Marc were at testing Bella and I went "out" = shopping. And what do I shop for - SHOES of course! And with Mini Me along, she also got shoes. I bought the black Guess pair below. They are fun. I got Bella a pair of plaid Mary Jane's. Super sweet. I actually was looking for a new pair of Sketchers, but I am going to Seattle in two weeks and I should look for them down there. They will be much cheaper, even with the exchange. Finally Bella decided to draw a family portrait - here is the end result! LOVE it!! Look at my club foot... ha haaaaa LOVE Marc's spiked hair and the glasses... My girl's got talent!!

I think it is time to bake some chocolate chocolate chip cookies and then relax. We are heading out to dinner tonight - some family time centered around Greek food. Good times. GOOOOOD times!

Testing

It is that time again. Ethan was sick Wednesday so he missed his Taekwondo midterm. But we just got an email tonight saying that he can test tomorrow afternoon. Sooo my quiet Saturday has now become a testing Saturday. Hmmm, Marc may have to take this one. I have not psyched myself up enough for another round of testing - especially when the black belt in on the line... Wish him luck!!

Being home sick

Most people would rest. Not me. No. That would be too simple and logical. Instead I make cannelloni from scratch and whip up a batch of Chex Party Mix with M&Ms, and do three loads of laundry and help Ethan with a presentation for Cubs on Thursday night all about his Italian heritage... I am going to need a rest day from my rest day...

Ugh

Fighting off a cold - both me and Ethan. Not fun. And busy week ahead. Ugh.

My kid rocks!

And kicks butt! He won 3rd place for sparring in the tournament today. He did awesome! I have video of his match, and IF I can figure out how to upload it, I will. But don't hold your breathe... I am quite technically challenged at the very best of times... hee hee

Oh, and my husband also kicks butt - but for oh so many different reasons. The number one reason being that he produced a gorgeous bouquet of flowers and some Donna Karan perfume for Valentine's Day. I knew nothing about what was in store for me. Nor did I say anything about it. I am not really big on Valentine's Day. I find it a very sorry excuse to "try" and remember those you love on this one day a year... You should be doing that EVERDAY of the year! And Marc is always so good about telling me he loves me, and coming home with little gifts, and doing chores around the house without ever being asked or told to. I appreciate him everyday. He rocks. I am one lucky LUCKY gal!! (Oh ya - for Valentine's Day for Marc, I bought him a leather cover for the Itouch. I am sooo romantic!! ha ha haaa) I said I was lucky, not him!

Good morning

Wow, I have been negligent with this blog lately... Not much to say really. My days just seem to get away on me. Ethan has a taekwondo tournament this Saturday. Fun way to spend Valentine's day - watching your son get beat on and in turn beat on others. Ohhh, feel the love!! hee hee It's great! That's all that is going on really. Tomorrow is my sister's birthday - Happy Birthday L!! So we are going over for dinner and cake. My mom is making dinner; I am making side dishes; and L is making her own cake! How funny are we?! Sooo Italian!! ha ha We have cookies to bake for the various Valentine's parties going on around here tonight. I see some eggless sugar cookies on the go for that. They are fabulous, btw! But I am not up to icing them, so they will just get the fancy sprinkles, and that will have to do. That's all.
